Why Schools Choose Fabian Ramirez

Schools choose Fabian Ramirez because he brings more than an entertaining presentation. He combines real experience working with students, a personal understanding of bullying, professional speaking expertise, and practical strategies that schools can use to strengthen their culture.

Unlike speakers who simply present research, Fabian has spent years working directly with students as both a substitute teacher and national school assembly speaker. His programs balance comedy, storytelling, evidence-based practices, and practical strategies that students and educators can immediately apply.

His presentations are designed to support:

Looking for a Guest Speaker to Address Bullying?

When schools are looking for a guest speaker to address bullying, they need more than someone who can talk about the problem. Students need practical strategies they can understand and use, while educators need a message that supports the school’s broader culture and prevention efforts.

Fabian’s bullying prevention assemblies use humor, storytelling, and real-life experiences to help students think differently about how they treat others, how they respond to difficult situations, and how their choices can affect the people around them.

His programs can complement schoolwide efforts focused on bullying prevention, kindness, PBIS, Tier 1 behavior interventions, MTSS, and positive school culture.

Fabian’s Story

Bullied as a Student

Fabian Ramirez understands bullying because he experienced it himself while growing up in Houston, Texas.

As a student in Houston ISD, he attended Title I schools from elementary through high school. Like many students he speaks to today, he struggled with confidence, academics, and finding his place.

That experience eventually became the foundation of his mission: helping students feel seen, valued, and connected while giving schools practical ways to strengthen bullying prevention and school culture.

A Student Who Struggled

Fabian graduated from Milby High School believing he was an average student.

After enrolling at San Jacinto College, he failed every section of the college placement exam and began his college journey in remedial classes.

Rather than quitting, he learned the value of persistence.

Today he often reminds students:

“It’s not where you start. It’s where you end up that matters.”

That message has become one of the defining themes of his school assemblies.

Becoming a First-Generation College Graduate

Fabian transferred to Dallas Baptist University, where he worked with at-risk youth while completing his bachelor’s degree.

In 2005, he became the first person in his family to earn a college degree.

He later earned a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management with a 3.85 GPA before beginning doctoral studies in Leadership. Although he chose to leave the Ph.D. program to pursue speaking full-time, his graduate research in emotional intelligence continues to influence his presentations on bullying prevention, resilience, and student leadership.

Why Humor Matters

One of the qualities that makes Fabian Ramirez different from many school assembly speakers is his ability to use professional comedy to capture students’ attention and make important messages easier to remember.

To strengthen his presentation skills, Fabian studied stand-up comedy at the DC Improv. He uses humor, storytelling, and relatable experiences to connect with students while creating opportunities for meaningful conversations about bullying prevention, kindness, leadership, and positive choices.

Humor isn’t the message, it helps students become more open to hearing the message. The result is an engaging school assembly that students enjoy while still walking away with practical ideas they can use.

As Fabian explains,

“Comedy is like anesthesia. People laugh first, then they’re ready to hear the message.”

That combination of laughter and practical takeaways has become one of the hallmarks of every Fabian Ramirez presentation.

Fabian’s Mission

Fabian Ramirez believes every student deserves to attend a school where they feel safe, respected, and connected.

His mission is to help schools prevent bullying, strengthen positive school culture, and give students practical tools for making positive choices. Through engaging anti-bullying school assemblies, student leadership programs, teacher keynotes, and practical Tier 1 behavior intervention strategies, Fabian helps schools turn important messages into lasting action.

Whether speaking to students or educators, Fabian’s goal remains the same:

Help schools build kinder campuses where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
